Clean Up Day 31 July 2005
Buceo Costa Nerja, with the help of the Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Nerja, organised the first sea clean up for Nerja. Fifty local divers volunteered to help us, with a helping hand from the local restaurants who provided us all with a filling paella to keep us all cleaning. Across the day we pulled around 200 kilos of rubbish out of the sea, including car batteries, plastics, glass and a shopping trolley! The clean up was a big success an helps us keep our unique sites within the natural marine park healthy and clean. We are now planning the next one, which we hope will be even bigger.
