Nerja´s First Beach and Undersea Clean up Day
31st July 2005

The last day of July this year saw a massive joint effort between ourselves at Buceo Costa Nerja, the environmental and sporting departments of the Ayuntamiento and a host of volunteer divers to pull close to 200 kilos of rubbish out of our local waters. 50 volunteers signed up - with many more having to be turned away - to help, and after all their hard work during the day, were treated to a meal from one of the beachfront restaurants who all offered their services to help the cause. Take a look at some of the images below to see what we achieved, or click here to see what the local and national press said.
